Pipavav Railway Corporation Limited sets a milestone by making Pipavav, the first Port to be connected with Indian Railways via High Rise Over Head Electric traction. It was a proud moment for PRCL, GPPL and Western Railway to flag off its 1st OHE hauled freight train from Pipavav Port siding and for achieving the distinction of being pioneer in achieving this feat in the country.
The foresighted and endeavor of PRCL in embarking upon Electrification of its 270 km long section would herald a new chapter in traffic volume, freight potential and turn around period in the annals of Indian Railways
